Mission StatementCore. Restore. Study. Mission Statement Core. Restore. Study. is a multidisciplinary initiative dedicated to full spectrum recovery for individuals and communities impacted by the transatlantic slave trade and its enduring post-generational effects. We address the inherited trauma that manifests in the mind, body, and spirit—through both conscious and unconscious behaviors, cultural erasure, and systemic oppression. Our mission is to restore humanity, dignity, and identity to people who have been colonized—people of color and descendants of colonizers alike—through healing, education, art, and spiritual practices rooted in ancestral knowledge. We explore how slavery and colonization have normalized self hate, created generational density, altering DNA expression, stress hormone production, and spiritual identity across all communities. --- Core Beliefs Trauma is inherited: Through epigenetic changes, generations carry the psychological and physiological wounds of colonization, slavery, and displacement. Healing must be holistic: Recovery is spiritual, emotional, and physical—requiring cultural, genetic, and historical reconnection. Colonization affects everyone: Both the oppressed and the oppressors carry generational legacies that require acknowledgment, processing, and transformation. Spiritual identity is sacred: Reviving Indigenous spiritualities is vital for personal and collective wholeness. --- Program Pillars Rehumanization through Education & Healing Bringing Awareness to trauma-informed parenting rooted in understanding the conditions of slavery and colonial legacies. Destigmatizing Indigenous and ancestral spiritual practices. Genealogy and DNA research to help individuals rediscover ancestral identity. Archive access and historical research on colonization’s psychological effects globally. DNA Healing & Epigenetic Awareness Research and workshops exploring how trauma affects genetic expression and health. Meditation practices designed to alter gene expression—supporting nervous system regulation and long-term healing. Embodied Healing Practices Facilitated sessions in: Meditation Chi Qong Breathwork Yoga Cultural ceremonies Nature immersion to support nervous system recalibration and emotional recovery. Art & Dialogue for Meaning-Making Collective panels, group discussions, and exhibitions as spaces to process and express grief, loss, resilience, and identity. Envisioning liberated futures beyond systemic limitations and inherited beliefs.
